99 Hayabusa Green to Green Connection . . GPI learning mode fail AGAIN!
Green wire from GPI display to Green wire from Crank Position Sensor,
Attempted Learning Mode A with engine running, 1st Gear selected, ran up to 40kmh in 1st gear, FAILED.
Conclusion: Faulty part supplied.

Green wire from gear position indicator connected to the Black/yellow wire at the CAMSHAFT position sensor connector at the Left side top of the Valve Cover, top of engine. Still not programming.

I attempted to program the Gear Indicator from AliExpress, I followed the instructions, repeated the process multiple times, it would not learn the gear positions. It is recommended to use 'Mode A' for the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa 99-07 I tried all 3 modes, A, B and C, failed in all 3 modes.

This is the way I connected the Gear Position Indicator wiring on my Gen 1 Hayabusa 1999. GPi White 3 pole connectors go to speed sensor 3 pole connectors creating a 'loop' through the GPi circuit. The single green wire from the GPi is soldered into the white wire on the Crank Position Sensor wiring on the harness side of the connector. The GPi is from AliExpress.

Fitted this kit for comfort in my old age lol. Kit includes longer brake and clutch stainless braided hoses by Spiegler. Also includes mirror extensions nice CNC Aluminium. In this vid I show the clearance between handlebar fittings and windscreen.

Oh and the engine is running at 2200 rpm, engine is cold(just started up) that’s why it’s noisey!
I thought I’d do a short vid showing my Circuit tester for current (Amps) plugged into my Fuel Pump FUSE 10A, This fuel pump motor is relatively new And in very good condition so should be drawing current as low as possible and act as a reference point for anyone wanting to know the current draw on their own Hayabusa. (This bike has an external fuel pump being the 1999 model)

I rode it 75000kms with clip on standard bars, it’s so much more comfortable to ride now with these higher and wider bars..wished I’d done it years ago! 😊

Yes, just big cams on the bike making the idle go up and down, but if it makes your bike die then something's up

@@darcyarnold6490 Under the saddle. Though I would always recommend at least adding a few MLS into the tank with fuel just as a precaution incase the pump fails (rarely fails though) and use the original spark plug.
Just a side note, if the 2 stroke oil gets too low a level in the tank the engine will stop running as a safety precaution. There is a low level switch in the oil tank. If it runs low and cuts out, just refill the oil tank and it will start and run again.

Hey kiwi not sure what GoPro your using but im guessing if you were to set it up like the motovlog helmets with just a mic adaptor and the mic in your helmet it would cut out a lot of the wind noise
